We Rescued A 5 Year Old Female Shih Tzu

We went to the rescue league in Des Moines, Iowa and they had a female Shih Tzu that came out of a puppy mill. She had lots of sores and lost some teeth. They told us she had never been held, no contact with people in a loving way - just bred and caged. We took her home and loved her. She was so scared and afraid to have us hold her but in less than a month she was potty trained, only some accidents if rainy. She loves her big, king bed with mommy and daddy. Out!!

Such a touching story!!Most people would never take the chance on adopting a puppy mill dog. This warm my heart to know that there are good people like you in this world..I can only imagine how thankful the little dog is to have a real home.May you have many years of happiness together.Love to see some photos..

It brought tears to my eyes. You are such a wonderful lady to have taken this little one in your home. I know you all will enjoy her and she will be one happy and loved little girl.

My Shih Tzu female was 16 yrs old..blind and the most loveable dog. She went to "rainbow" Bridge about 2 weeks ago and we miss her terribly. We rescued her after a young person tried to kill her.
We are looking for another to keep our 11 yr old company and to love us,
