We groom our own Shih Tzus

We have two Shih Tzus, 2 Poms and 2 Havanese. I try to groom mine the best I can as we can't afford to take this many dogs to the groomer. I love the Teddy Bear cut and have been trying to learn it. So far I have found out that I need the #3 blade and the attach comb. However, I do not like the shaved or really cut close look. I would like them to still look fluffy but cannot seem to find anyone to tell me the length of the attach comb.

We used to show Bernese Mountain Dogs and going to dog shows made us fall in love with so many breeds. That's why the variety. But we love and enjoy them all.

Your name looks so familiar. Are you the same Margie Clark with the Weehoofs Mini donkeys? If so I saw your page and they are so cute. Back to the grooming. I was wondering the same thing about the teddy bear cut. Can't wait to see the responses. My two are embarrased when I groom them.

I saw your ad about your Shih Tzus, Havanese and Pomeranians.

I have a friend and she also has a Shih Tzu and Havanese and tells me she grooms them practically the same way and that is the Teddy Bear Look.

Sorry though, do not know the size clipper blade and size of the attached comb.

Someone asked if I was the one with the Weehoofs Miniature Donkeys. I don't know when they asked me this as just got on the grooming which I hadn't been on for a while.


Yes, I am the one with the adorable mini donkeys and at the present have four. They are so loving and docile; they follow you everywhere you go.
