Interested in Shih Tzu sizes...

I entered my yorkie tzu on your site, and I mentioned she is Imperial size.

My other shih tzus are also that size, but I notice you use the term alternatively with teacup. Mine are much bigger than those (I've seen a few as small as chihuahuas--poor things).

I've been told the term Imperial was applied to the shih tzus and pekingnese who were small enough to be carried in the emperors sleeves (which were actually quite large).

Anyway, I'm interested in the sizes, as mine are from local reputable breeders.

Question of size

Reputable breeders follow their breed clubs and breed to standard. They do not use marketing terms like teacup or imperial when they describe the size of their dogs or puppies.
