I had rescued a 3 yr. old Shih Tzu and 1 week later she gave birth to 6 pups. They are adorable and I am in the process of finding acceptable homes for them. Shelby is one of 2 females and of course is my fav. She has already been adopted and the first to go to a new home in a couple more weeks.

I plan on keeping the Mother, Chewy (against my husbands wishes). When I rescued her, she was so skinny and had been living outside tied up most of the time. She was pregnant, not house trained and had fleas. She is trying really hard to behave - it will take some time. Perhaps once her pups have new homes we can spend more time on that training thing. Until then, she and her pups are being spoiled and have a loving, caring home.

I will miss her puppies, they give me so much joy.
