MJ - Bichon Shih Tzu Mix

MJ is a 2 1/2 year old Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu Mix. He's named after Michael Jordan because he sticks his tongue out all the time just like Michael did when shooting 3 pointers. I adopted him a few months ago from the local humane society. He was rescued with 20+ other Bichon Shih Tzu mixed dogs from a hoarder. He was very scared of people and took awhile to earn his trust. But now, he's doing great. He's now potty trained to use pads and just as spoiled as can be! He's a shy little guy and doesn't bark except when absolutely necessary, but very intelligent and sweet. He can't sleep unless he's near me. He has the most luxurious coat that just curls right up after a bath and is just so soft, I can't resist petting him. Everytime I look at him, I'm just amazed at how far he's come. I can look into his eyes and know he knows he found his forever home. I tell everybody that he's my little boy.

The greatest dog ever.... I have had several breeds over the years but nothing compares to my lil Bichon Shih Tzu. She is the smartest, cutest and most entertaining and loyal of all..... love 4-ever... a must have breed .... Her coat tends to matte very quickly, must have regular grooming and brushing and her eyes and ears must be cleaned on a regular basis but other than that, a very smart dog, a lap dog for sure. She loves to entertain and then back to the lap .....

Lovable, but a snob. Loves to play with his toys. Very smart. Looks like a Shih Tzu but his hair can get curly like a Bichon.He is a very playful and wonderful pooch.

BRANDO Bichon Shitzu Mix

We have had Brando, our Bichon Shihtzu for 15 years and we almost lost him before we ever got him as he and 2 siblings came down with the parvo virus. Our kids were quite small at the time and we made a choice as soon as our breeder let us know, that we wanted him and only him. So we prayed and hoped for the best. Brando survived and he has been a big part of our family and has accepted any animal that has come in to our home.

When he was younger, he ran while we biked. He had a few run ins with local geese, but always seemed to get away unharmed. At one point in his life, he choked on a piece of a hamburger my son fed him but thankfully my husband was home to revive him and pull out the piece that was lodged in his throat. After that, my husband and him developed a special bond... Brando has always loved to play fetch and even use to play tag with himself and a ball. He has now slowed down quite a bit and has gone almost totally blind but still gets around. He has a few aches and pains but hey, don't we all?

Would I go with this breed again....? YES. If you are thinking of getting a Bichon Shitzu, I would highly recommend it as they are loving, cuddly and great companions for all ages.

RHINO - Bichon Shih Tzu

Rhino's an amazing sweet dog, ever since the day we took him home. He learns quite fast and is a huge cuddle monster. He loves going for walks and sleeping. We spoiled him alot but he doesn't act like a brat at all. Best decision ever was when we decided to adopt him.
